The Hard Reset
If you are having issues with static on your headsets or getting a "buzzing" noise you may need to perform what known as a hard reset. A hard reset is when you remove all power from your base. When you do this you will lose communications with your headsets The process is simple follow these steps
1. On the top of your base there are two push tabs that allow you to open the base up like a clam shell.
2. On the bottom part that swung down you will by the hinge you will see a row of green connectors. On the far right as marked in red on the picture below there is a green connector with two wires going into it. That is the power to your base. Pull the green connector out of the base. Do not pull on the wires pull on the green plastic!! When you do this the lights on your base will go off, and the lights on your headsets will flash red.
3. Plug the green connector back in to your base. Turn all your headsets off and back on.

Clearing Your Registry
One thing to mind if you are having issues registering your communicator to your base is that the HME Wireless IQ base can only hold a total of 15 registrations at one time. Every time you recieve a communicator from repair you will need to register it to your base. Eventually you will fill up your base and at that point you will need to clear the registration from the base. The way you know if your base registry is full is when you go to register a headset the screen on the transceiver board shows an F.
One thing to note is this process will erase all of the communicators from your base. You will have to register every communicator at your store we at CSI of Oklahoma suggest clearing the registration on your base while you are not busy with a lunch rush. To clear the registration from your base follow these simple steps.
1.On the top of your base there are two push tabs that allow you to open the base like a clam shell.
2. Once you have your base open you will need to locate your transceiver board. It will be on the bottom part that swung down on the right hand side. It is marked in red on the picture below.
3. On the transceiver board you will see three black buttons. You will need to press and hold the Clear registration button which is marked below in red, and press and release the Reset button which is marked below in yellow.
Make sure to keep holding the clear registration button until you get a C on the screen as shown in the picture below
Once the C is shown your registration has been cleared. You will need to register all of your communicators to the base. If you have any questions or issues clearing the registration on your base feel free to call CSI of Oklahoma at 877-266-1785
Volume adjustment
Before you adjust the volume on you HME Wireless IQ system there are somethings you should be aware of. First of all the terminology. What the communicator hears from the drive-thru area is referred to as inbound. What the customer hears in the drive-thru is referred to as outbound. Inbound and Outbound work in tandem, if outbound is to loud you might get feedback in your headsets caused by the microphone in the drive-thru picking up the outbound. However, if the customers can not hear you, you will experience a communication barrier which ultimately ends with slower drive-thru times and less profit for your store. The same can be said for inbound. This is why its a balancing act with inbound and outbound volume. Another thing to keep in mind when you are adjusting volume levels at your base is, a small adjustment will make a big impact on the level of volume you are messing with. Keep that in mind as you adjust your volume levels.
To adjust your outbound volume levels on your HME Wireless IQ go to the front of your base and there will be a side door on the the right hand side. Open that up (if its there), the bottom half will have a total of 9 adjustment knobs. The middle left will be labeled SPKRVOL OUTSIDE marked in red in the picture below. To make your outbound louder turn that knob clockwise, to make your outbound quieter turn that knob counter-clockwise.
If you need to adjust your inbound volume you will need to follow these steps.
1.On the top of your base there are two push tabs that allow you to open the base like a clam shell.
2. Once you have you base open you will need to locate your inbound volume adjustment. On the picture below you can see that it circled in red. Depending on your base you might have a knob on your inbound adjustment if not you will need to find either a small philleps screw driver or a flat-head screw driver (typically an eye-glass repair kit with have one) To turn your inbound volume up rotate the knob or screw driver clockwise. To turn your inbound volume down rotate the knob or screw driver counter-clockwise.

Speedteam
If you can hear your customers but they can't hear you one thing you may want to check is if your Speedteam switch is turned on. What speed team does is it shuts off outbound communications. You will be able to hear the customers but they will not be able to hear you. You will also be able to communicate between communicators. Speedteam is designed for someone to be outside in the drive thru taking orders and relaying the information inside.
To check and see if speed team is turned on you will need to go to your base and open up the door on the right hand side. Behind that door on the left you will see a switch labled SPEEDTEAM Make sure that the switch is to the left side. The speed team switch is marked in red on the picture below.
If you are still having problems with no outbound try doing a HARD RESET as described above, or call CSI of Oklahoma at 877-266-1785
